UPCOMING EVENTS

 We will have a Praise & Pie Thanksgiving Eve Service on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 7:00 pm. Following the service, we will gather to share desserts and a time of fellowship. Please bring a dessert to share if you are able. This year, we have invited Salem Church of Mathews to join us in worship. They are the newest Global Methodist Church in our area. 

 There will be a Blood Drive held at the Mathews Ruritan Club on Tuesday, December 2nd, from 12:30 to 6:30 pm. Appointments can be made at redcrossblood.org or by calling (804) 725-2485.   

 Our next scheduled Worship Service at the Mathews Long Care Facility will be on Sunday, December 7th, at 2:00 pm. All are welcome to join us as we share the Light of Christ with our friends at the Mathews Long Care Facility, who are unable to leave the facility to attend church. 

 The Men’s Breakfast will be on Saturday, Dec 13th, at 7:00 am. All are welcome, and please bring a friend.  

 The Laughing Ladies in Christ will be collecting gently used coats, sweatshirts, and blankets through December 15th for those in need. 

 Our 2025 Annual Charge Conference will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 7:00 PM here at Locust Grove. We will have a joint Charge Conference with Salem Church in Mathews. Again this year, I would like to have a video presentation highlighting some of the events we have held in 2025. If you have pictures or videos of events, please share them with Pam Howlett or Josh Griffin so they can be included.
